Yesterday i put a subwoofer in the back of the crv and fed the power wire through the power steering column. couldn't find any other hole other then the throttle and i didn't wanna mess with that wondering if i missed an easier hole or should have drilled a hole. any help appreciated.

You're always better off to drill a new hole for the power wire. This prevents disturbing anything in the firewall. If your power wire is laying against the steering column itself, it could, over time, wear off the wire's insulation, causing a dead short. Not a good situation.

I would agree with cpalmer. It sounds like you've used the power antenna wire instead of the remote turn on. If you're using an aftermarket head unit, look closely. Sometimes they're both blue.
