Newbie here, so I replaced the 2.4 engine in my 05 CRV and drove great for about 1000 miles, now I am getting mis fire codes and random misfires. It wont start as of last night and I replaced all coil packs and plugs, I have spark and the timing chain and components are all new and not cheap parts (Cloyes brand). Any idea what would cause this? I have never had this issue before and I have worked on many of these engines.

How many miles on the replacement engine? Is it from the same year as yours? If not did you replace the ECU as well?

I'd:
1. adjust/verify valve lash
2. check timing chain tension and guide tensioners

Could the injectors be sticking or leaking causing the wet plugs?

Assuming you are in North America...
