Hi

I am new here, so please excuse any errors.

I recently got a '09 EX 4wd manual, and would like to know what is the recommended tyre pressure for 17" OEM wheels when driving on sand.

I am planning a trip to the beach shortly.

Tx

I'd say 12PSI is a good number.

Remember to pull your VSA fuse if your vehicle is equipped with stability control. :)

What would the effects of the VSA be when driving on sand? Is switching off the VSA not enough?
In the US, if your tire pressure is low, VSA will not disengage. If your CR-V is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, you will have to pull the fuse.

VSA won't allow much wheel slip at all and it will kill all forward momentum, that is bad when driving in sand.

Thanks for that information. It was very informative. I will definatly check whether I have tyre pressure monitors.
