Greetings, I am new to the forum and am having a problem with a no start on a 2000 CRV with the 2.0. The plug that is located on the side of the distributor has a black wire with a yellow stripe that is hot with key on. There is no fire to the plugs via wires.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

Most likely a bad ignitor or a bad ignition coil, but it could just be the rotor or the distributor cap.
If you crank the engine over (using the starter) with any spark plug wire not grounded or the distributor cap off, you can cause the ignition coil to internally short itself, unless you pull the fuse or disconnect the low voltage feed to the distributor first.
