can't really tell from vid but sounds like its coming from disrubiteur, possible loose timing belt would make that noise

Valve adjustment is what I was thinking, however it could also be a timing belt issue. Im going to take off the valve cover and see how things look i suppose. I hear the noise coming from the distributor also, in what way would a timing belt affect that tho?

So i've just replaced the timing belt and tensioner (the water pump seemed to be fine and I didn't want to get coolant everywhere). I also adjusted the valves. Im able to more easily diagnose the ticking noise to be coming from the distributor, so i'll probably soon be replacing all of that.

Are you saying the distributor and timing belt are related?-as in would a timing belt issue cause a distributor noise? The noise is definitely coming from distributor.
