2002 crv rear hatch won’t open, how to remove?

Are you referring to the tailgate GLASS hatch alone, or the entire rear door (tailgate)?

Yes you CAN remove the inner panels with the door shut. @ajchien had a video on YouTube that showed the fasteners.

I have a 2002 crv and the rear hatch will not open. Key turns but door does not unlatch. Window will unlock though. Not sure how to remove door, or if it might be fixable by removing panels and accessing fro the inside. Any help appreciated.

Yea, the entire door. It’s the door that I can’t open. The window will open.
