I recently purchased a 2003 CRV EX-L in above average condition. About 5 years ago I bought a Lemur BlueDriver OBD2 code reader, easy to find them on the web, to use with my iPhone. A great product at a reasonable price that has worked fine for me on several vehicles and does everything I need with the exception of reading ABS codes, something that will be coming soon according to Lemur. When I tried it on the CRV, I was unable to seat the reader properly in the car socket and it would not connect. After a bit of head scratching, I decided to remove a protrusion on the side of the grey plastic socket that appeared to be preventing the plug from fully inserting. I used a Dremel tool to grind it off and all went well after that. I don't know whether this is peculiar to the reader or the car, but removing the lump solved the problem.
