Tonight I ran out of gas and restarted it several times until there absolutely no more gas at all so it wouldn't start any more as I continued to roll in neutral to the gas station. Where I then added gas. Now my car won't stay running it keeps dieing shortly after I start to drive will run just fine in park that is if it start at all though. Sometimes the fuel pump doesn't turn on when I turn the key.

MMO huh well I'm sure you guys are probably right I just can't afford a new fuel pump heck even a used one right now.I was just hope for it to be something else, I guess .... Thanks for everyone's input.. Hey out curiosity would blowing in the outlet of an electric fuel pump cause a problem, would you then need .....??

Thanks everyone for your help. Everything in moderation agreed unfortunately sometimes that's money so some days I put gas and still don't get the light to shut off. But that besides the point or perhaps that's preciously why it would be like it is .if it was the fuel pump unfortunately w/o car running it makes it really hard to go do the jobs I normally do. But gives me more time for trying to figure this out . Because it made since that I burned up my pump .. And CR-V no longer starts and the pump doesn't either unless I hooked the pump up direct it runs then the CR-V still doesn't.But the pump does .. so I checked fuse again (good) I checked relays (good) ,checked wire harness to fuel pump(bad no power)changed both relays and fuse still nothing checked fuel injectors for power since 1 of the relays (Main Relay) powers them also fuel injectors( good all get power). Checked for spark at plugs (bad no spark). I have located both the cam&crank sensors I haven't tested them not sure if I know how..? Please what do you guys think am I on the right track or.... Any suggestions on how to find out whats wrong and fix my problem now that I have more info for you. Maybe y'all have more for me. Thanks again I really need and appreciate your input thoughts and advice .

I did change the two sensors but didn't check the connections. How do I do that? Tryed to find out on internet , but to no prevail. No matter how I asked as soon as I said anything about a relay that's all it will show me, is how to test a relay. How about the sensor too, if you or anyone reading knows.F YI (Actually I am learning and doing all these electrical test but I Am freaked out by electricity... So on that note I need instructions like a newbie to the subject & the easier version that you know please but will do 50k volt test if I gotta. Once again Thanks for your input.! !

  • Does anyone know what the wiring diagram for those two relays is?The 2 PGM relays can't find it on line so I joined wiring library they bypass all the relays in glovebox they have things in their schematics that I know go to those relays but they don't put going to or coming from or any mention at all of relays or fuel pump.

Can you believe that . I thought even though I looked over every diagram on a2005 Honda CR-V thought I must have missed it so I called I didn't miss it. ....anyway you have me curious what the grn key means is that the immobiliser if it's not flashing.?? Cause I was just also trying to find out what happens (on instrument panel)if it's activated. Once again not finding that yet.
