I've just recently purchased this 2000 CRV. Really like it so far. Have figured out a few minor problems but now this. When I hit the gas and the rear tires spin a little in the snow I get this strange squeal/rubbing noise from the rear? Any thoughts? I changed the dif fluid about 3 weeks ago. Yes used the dbl pump fluid. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do some low speed tight turns on pavement and see if the squeal happens.
If so do the burnishing procedure. Basically it is just doing around 6 wheel lock turns at slow speed on pavement in each direction several times over.
Then, do a drain and fill with Honda DP2 fluid and do the burnishing again.
Hopefully that will take care of your problem.
Sometimes the fluid is so bad that it needs to be done twice with 'burnishing' in between.
