I'm looking at replacing my rear brake rotors form my 06 Cr-v and I see some brands mention "Exc. for vehicles built in Japan"

I was curious if there is an actual difference between the Japan built and non-Japan built rear brake rotors. I see most brands don't distinguish, and therefore it leaves me wondering... My car is a Japan build.

Thanks in advance

With a Generation2 you always need to be vigilant regards the origin of the car. Many parts ARE different (IE, rear taillight bulbs).

The best way to verify is to look at an online dealer's part listing. Then note if there is a difference in part number for the factory parts.

In this case there doesn't seem to be a difference.... Per Hondapartsdeals.com

Thanks Carbuff2. I checked the OEM part numbers and both rotors reference the same part number. That's why I was curious why just one brand makes the distinction while every other does not. My only thought is perhaps there is an additional plug/hole on the rotor for Japanese builds?
