Hi Everyone,

I am looking at buying a 2007 Honda CRV LX (with 92000 miles) for $6700.
I live in the New England and would love to have the Remote Start feature so that i can get the car nice and warm before stepping in.
Is that something I can add on to this vehicle at a local repair shop or would you advise me to go for a more expensive car that comes with the Remote Start feature?
I'm open to spending more (if required) but feel like this car will be as good as a newer 4th gen/EX for most everyday purposes.

Honda sells an add-on accessory for the remote start, but even at the cheapest discount I can find, it's more than $350 just for the two components needed. It can be self-installed but still needs to go to the dealer to be programmed. That said, we have an aftermarket remote starter in one of our '09s and don't like how it works or how some wonk in an auto electronics shop installed it. It also does not activate climate controls. Junk, in other words.
