Hi I have my CRV 2008 EX booked in for a Recall for;
Driver/Passenger Airbag Inflator may be over pressurised

I asked Honda would they be able to save all my SAT-NAV locations somehow as they are important.

They claim they are unable to use a "memory saver device" which plugs into the 12v socket - I used this last week to install a new battery and replace drivers seat belt without any issue

Any other ways around this?

Many thanks in advance. Trev

There is NO WAY around this.

The entire electrical system must be fully discharged to replace any part in the airbag system. One wrong move will set them off when the system is opened up while still having voltage. Very dangerous to mess with the airbag system with any for of electrical power still being provided.

So no shop will ever do this (if they agree to do it then go somewhere else because they have NO CLUE what they are dealing with) because it can injure or kill the tech working on the vehicle.
