Windshield wipers suddenly would not work after turning off for 10 mins and then returning to car. Have checked the 30 amp #38 fuse and OK. Power to the positive side of fuse holder OK, got access to the wiper motor and connected it direct to the battery and motor started no problem. Finally removed the actual switch assembly from the column and did an Ohm meter test on its circuit and all functions appeared OK, even connected another (new) switch and still no action on the wipers! I can hear a click as if from a relay when I try to operated any of the wiper functions.
Can anyone offer help as I am running out of ideas?

Not sure, but I 'think' the power goes through the Intermittent Relay control. I only have a Service Manual for a 97-00 CRV.
You should probably do more searching on the Internet and consider downloading the service manual for your yr CRV.
Try to find an electrical diagram for the front windshield wiper circuit.
