I just purchased a 2009 CR-V and don’t know where and what type of phone mount would work with this model. Your guidance appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! I have an '07, with an identical dash. Not a flat spot anywhere! Here's the best solution I found:

https://www.proclipusa.com/product/853940-proclip-center-mount

This metal bracket provides the perfect location and a nice flat spot, to which you can attach any phone mount. It does not come with a phone mount, but they have them for your phone. I used my own favorite for my phone, and it works great. Installation is a bit tricky, but there are instructions and it's not difficult. There's no drilling or damage to dash. It clips into place and has a self-adhesive pad as backup to hold it securely in place. Mine works perfectly. Worth every penny.

Thank you so much for your response. This is a terrific solution! They have several mounting choices to choose from also. I really appreciate your help.
