The warning light came on that said I need to have my transmission serviced.

I thought that this was only done at the 100,000 mile service--but I was told that the computer decides when it should be done.

My speedometer is right at 95,000---so since the transmission service is being done at 95,000 miles,
when should it be done again?

Is the transmission service a simple drain and fill?

Thanks to all for the help.

not sure who told you but 100000 miles transmission service...... No way I would wait that long on ANY vehicle. 50k max, hopefully this isnt the first service on your transmission.

As for how easy, yeap just a drain and fill. Buy 4 qts of proper transmission fluid and a drain pan. Takes about 10 minutes unless any plastic covers blocking things decide to be a pain in the rear about coming out.

The MM ('warning light') triggers services other than oil changes at mileage, only. It will display the code ***near*** an oil change reminder.
