Hi All I'm new to the forum, having just picked up a 2010 Royal Blue EX-L (without Navi). I am also the current owner of a 2003 Pilot a previous owner of a 2000 Dark Green CR-V SE.
When I was shopping for this car I considered the factory Navi system, but as a techie I didn't want to feel locked in to what might quickly become dated technology. (I work in the automotive industry developing telematics products, usually the state of the art).
I was originally considering installing a double-din Android- based navigation radio such as the Parrot Asteroid Smart or one of the cheepo chinese products for sale on Ebay, with a large touch screen and customizable apps. In the process of my research I stumbled across 2 types of direct-fit options. Both options are designed to fit in the dash in place of the original radio for a factory look. Below are 2 examples from Ebay
Windows CE based

Android 4.0 based
Option1- newer version http://android-caraudio.com/en/100-...e-android-422-for-toyota-venza-2011-2013.html
Option 2- older version http://www.ebay.com/itm/181384473924?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Have any of these radios been discussed on this forum? If so please provide links or feedback. Have you installed any of these radios yourself? What are some caveats?
I am an experienced electronics technician and I have installed dozens of car stereo and vehicle electronics, so in general I shouldn't have a problem installing any of these systems. I just hope they are of reasonable quality.
