I have had my (new to me) 2012 a couple of weeks now. All good (except the heater core) and was wondering if the valves need adjustment at some point on this generation. I am coming from a 2001 which did need such attention.

Book says if they make noise. Many recommend a valve adjust right after the spark plugs (100k mi.)

The K series engine uses roller-bearing cam followers, so adjustment requirements are MUCH less frequent.

I'd say do it soon (when it is warm near you). That way, you won't forget how, LOL.
