Ok, I am a dim dash light person. However this causes the backup camera to be almost useless at night.
Has anyone found a way to separate the camera and the dash lights? Where I can keep the dash lights at a comfortable level of intensity and the back up camera at a different level of intensity?
I’ve already been through most all of the posts on here and haven’t seen anything that addresses this question.

The display brightness will not be affected by Led backup lights. The display is controlled by the instrument cluster dimmer. If the dash lights are set to a comfortable level, the backup camera is to dim.

Is the brightness of the screen normally OK to you? Just the rear view image is dim?

Short of replacing the entire head unit with aftermarket, I think you need to develop the 'muscle memory' to brighten the screen when backing.
COULD be the camera tho'.

Any other Gen4 owners care to chime in?
