I've had my CRV about a year and it has 14,000 miles on it now. I have noticed just recently that there is a jerk around 45-55 mph. Its like when the lock-up torque converters first came out and the lock-up would go in and out. I think the CVT uses a hydraulic clutch instead of a torque converter but may have the same lock-up feature. I have only noticed this a couple of times - it functions normally most of the time. The tach shows the rpm jumping from 1200 to 2000 when this happens.

That's a broad range of speeds to be experiencing "lock up" like characteristics.
Is the cruise control always off when this happens?
