Installed a Curt Class III (2" receiver) along with the Curt wiring harness on my 2016 EX-L. Installation thanks to the instructions and videos was a couple of hours. The hitch was probably 30 to 45 minutes. I didn't remove the underbody panel as I opted to measure for the cut out while the panel was in place and used a box cutter (very sharp) to create the access. I drove up on some ramps which afforded me more room to work. It probably could have been done without them but they made the project easier.
The wiring harness took a little longer. Depending upon the video/instructions that you utilize one of the keys to spending less time would be to ensure to remove the screws that hold the seat release in place. There is a small cover that pops off and that provides access to the two screws in question. This provides more access behind the cover and the associated upper cover that must be accessed to find the correct connection. Beyond that, the installation is a plug-n-play with no splicing or issues. Etrailer.com as well as other sources offer a 4-pole tester but as I didn't purchase that I utilized a standard continuity tester to ensure I had electricity for the brakes, taillights and turnsignals before putting all panels back in place.
I also purchased the Curt towing starter kit which comes in a nice molded unit that fits on top of the spare under the cover keeping everything in one place.
