I just bought a 2016 SE - I really like the car, but do not like the wheels. I looked at the wheels, and I would like them a whole lot better if the black portions were matched to the silver part of the wheel. Anyone have any ideas or experiences with sandblasting / chemical removing or the black parts?

You might be better off buying say EXL wheels and selling what you have.

X2 replacement would be easiest. Many dealers have take-offs for sale...check EBay or Craigslist.

But if you like the style (just not the coloring) you could investigate having yours refinished by a wheel repair shop. (Ask for referrals at a BMW dealership, lol)

Here's a repair shop that I've used...most localities have a local establishment.
