The sound system is not made by a good company like Rockford fosgate or bose or anything like that.I hate to start new threads but I searched and searched and could not find the answer - Who makes the sound system for the 2017-2019 Touring?
That is what I was afraid of. All my other cars with "premium" audio have the brand name on them. I did not even know that Mitsubishi made audio systems. The sound system is not made by a good company like Rockford fosgate or bose or anything like that.
Manufacturers that use companies like that in their upgraded stereo I find actually sound pretty decent.
Companies with no branding. Like Honda, I find are not worth the premium upgrade.
Mitsubishi electric is well known company in Asia, but North America is just not in their main market for small electronics. They make small stuff like TV, stereos, Air Conditioner .. to a big factory robotic system, Space Satellite. This is even bigger company than Rockford Fosgate, but not specialize in Audio. That is what I was afraid of. All my other cars with "premium" audio have the brand name on them. On the subject of 2017 Touring Sound Systems - I am looking to upgrade the mediocre sound system which frankly just sucks. My last several cars included two C-5 Corvettes with Bose sound systems and a Genesis G80 with a Lexicon 17 speaker 500+ watt system so I know the CR-V won't be anything like these. However, my wife just got a 2019 Hyundai Kona Ultimate with a fine sound system which beats the daylights out of my CR-V for clarity. Has anyone upgraded their CR-V system with either a better amp or speakers or both? Any suggestions?
