Well I couldn’t wait anymore for support and dug right in. The shifter knob was easy to remove. I then popped the trim around it up
From the rear of the car side. I couldn’t get it completely out, but was able to lift it high enough to slide the shifter bezel underneath it after I clipping it. I simply reversed the job and it’s complete.
