Hey everyone -

Just bought a used 2017 CRV Touring model, 45k miles. All features working fine...until I went to dinner the other night, started the car an hour later and the Driver Information Interface (DII) / Multi-Information Display (MID) at the instrument cluster started showing errors that the LKAS and CMBS systems were failing:

137226

Dealer said the screen had frozen: hard reset didn't clear it and it's $900 to replace (!!!). Car is two years old and only two weeks old to me.
Anyone seen this issue? Can an update be performed on the system? Or do you have a fix for this that doesn't involve a new screen?

Pretty sure the picture you took is the radar in calibration mode.
did you ask dealer for records on the car, maybe windshield was replaced prior to you purchasing and they didnt calibrate correctly or its not oem glass.

dont freak out its a good car & clusters can be found for $300 range online fyi

better to crap
out under warranty than 2 years down the line!

Windshield has nothing to do with the radar. Radar assembly is located in the front grill.

RDM and LKAS need the camera (which is attached to the inside of the windshield behind the mirror) .. but I very much doubt the camera is the issue unless it is actually broken. The windshields all come off the same glass lines these days... OEM or aftermarket... and the camera mounts are precision attached at the factory. So unless the windshield is simply installed incorrectly.. that is not the issue.

If we take the indicators at face value... they are telling the owner that key HondaSensing systems are not operational.. and the dealer really needs to troubleshoot what and why... rather than simply dismissing it as a stuck instrument cluster.

As for warranty.. the vehicle is out of warranty due to miles... not time.
