Hi all,

We are looking at how to move from the west coast (Vancouver, BC) to the east coast (Halifax, NS)
We'll have some items to move with us (mainly books, ski/camping gear, a small table..)
I was looking to rent a uhaul cargo trailer. either 4x8 or 5x8.

I know the towing capacity limit for the 2017 Cr-v is 1500lbs.
Has anyone done it and have some do/do not do comments?

thanks all

U haul site has very good trailer weight information. The 4x8 is 850lbs. Toughest part about towing is the massive parachute effect they create, with the inevitable penalty on mpg. You have to reduce the payload inside the car by the nose weight of the trailer.
It's much more expensive to rent a truck and trailer, (all 4 wheels must be off the ground), but if that's an option, it may be the best way forward.
