Hi
Can people help with understanding differences?
Shopping for 2018 leftovers. Down to an exl (no nav) vs. A touring
The touring has 19” wheels. We swore it felt different when we drove it vs the 18” wheels but the dealers says they are the same suspension.
Can anyone advise on the difference between the wheels and how it may make a difference that could tip the scales in favour of the touring?
Otherwise for the difference in features I may go with exl as the better overall value for money.

The larger wheels have a lower profile so they are the same circumference which makes the gearing the same. The lower profile tires makes the ride firmer and they are usually more expensive to replace. My 2006 Miata came from the factory with 17s and I found out someone had switched them for 16s from a lower series when I went to replace them. The final drive is identical with the different size tires and the speedo matches the GPS.

I know this is an older thread, however the other thing I would have been looking at were the tires the same make and model, so you are comparing apples to apples. Just a thought.
