Hey everyone!

Last sept I got a nice 2018 Cr-V LX 5 gen. Really love the 2.4 atmo and cvt goes pretty well. My question is connected with the lights.
I already replaced the low beam/high beam with led still I want some more light :)

Since LX is a base model, it doesn't have the fog light by default. Searching on the Internet I've found this kit which seems to be a perfect fit:http:_//spyderauto.com/product.php?id=FL-HCRV2017-T-C
My question is the following: Is it possible to install this to the LX model? I mean do I have all the needed wires pre-installed?

Appreciate in advance any guidance and probably other options for the fog lights!

Yes I installed fog lights to my LX. All the necessary wires come with the kit. You will need to remove the bumper to add the fogs. You can run the wiring inside your cabin via the driver side wheel well. It's not too difficult to do. Just a hassle removing the bumper with all the clips

Thanks Joe! Did you install this exact kit?
Could you share any feedback on usage? Did you install it some time ago?
And what bulbs are in there - is it possible to add h11 led in there? like these ones from beamtech for 800 lumens (they don’t allow me to post links until I reach 5 msg)

Appreciate in advance your feedback!!

I got mine from eBay but it looks exactly the same. I installed mine about a year ago. I'm using the aukee h11/h8 led bulbs. Works great. H11 and h8 socket are the same physically... They're interchangeable. Just that h8 is lower wattage cuz they're fogs.

They work great.... I ran the wiring for the switch inside. I have the signal wire hooked up to another switch i have that only lights up when my low beams go on. So essentially the fogs will go on as soon as the low beams go on. If I need to I can still switch them off via the switch inside. But I generally just let them auto turn on. They definitely light up the sides of the road much better than just low beams. Especially if you put leds in the fogs.

I pretty much did what this guy did https://youtu.be/Z_GVOXe18Z4

Thanks a lot for mentioning all the info! Just ordered my kit from carid
The YouTube video is pretty self explanatory although I’ll need to decide whether I can(want) do it by myself or find a mechanic (not to brake anything!) :)
Also regarding the led bulbs - I didn’t know h8 are lower wattage, will be choosing those for the fog lights.
Will post some feedback here after installing completed!

I think if you want to maintain the stock halogen fog brightness (35w) you can go with a lower lumens led bulb like this one. It doesn't have an external driver and is cheaper.

If you want brighter you can use a h11 headlight bulb like the beam tech one you mentioned

I would go with brighter ones (beamtech) but just can’t decide if mine from low beam lights will fit into the fog lights or should I get specifically fog leds..
1) these ones are installed in my low beams now:
BEAMTECH H11 LED Headlight Bulb,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHDYTGL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

2) these ones I have found mentioning “fog lights” in the description:
BEAMTECH H11 Led Fog Light Bulb, CSP Chips 6500K 800 Lumens Xenon White Extremely Super Bright https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MX6TDC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ACLyCbQ8JWVD4

Which ones would you recommend?

I have the actual Beamtech fogs in mine, and they are similar to the stock output which is fine for me. They are also self contained and don't have the giant heatsink or external driver since they are less powerful. If you want blow the doors off brightness for fogs, get the headlight ones. Otherwise the fogs are fine

Thank oh! Just wants to make sure that if I get the headlight ones there is no problem with O’Neal wattage in the car - will the electric be fine?:)

Also for anyone reading - just ordered the fog light on Saturday- they are planning to ship it today, so will be posting photos once I get them!

So just to finish this thread - I have installed the fog lights - went to a dealer that spydeauto suggested- not sure if I can post it here.
The installation process took 2 hours. Also changed the bulbs to beamtech led.
Overall I can say that it became much better in terms of lights when driving in the night - highly recommend everyone!
