I just upgraded from a 2005 CR-V to my 2019 and am loving it. The only thing I dislike is that the rear seats don't slide. My weird dog is used to riding in the back of the 2005 with the rear seats all the way up near the back of the front seats. There is so much leg room in our new car that he's scared of dropping off the rear seat onto the floor (he's tethered to the seat belt). Any guesses why Honda chose to not make the rear seats adjustable? I've been looking for something to insert between the rear seat and the back of the front seat for him but haven't found anything that works. Any ideas?

A Google search for "rear seat dog cushion" came up with lots of options.
I personally think these are the best choices for what you're looking for.

Thanks for this. I didn't know they made these! And Levi thanks you.

A sliding assembly would raise the height of the seat (breaking the fold-down-flat feature) or reduce the capacity of the fuel tank even more than the lie-flats already do.
