Bought a brand new LX a few weeks ago and while I am overall very happy with the vehicle, I have been finding a few things that Honda dropped the ball on. If I am wrong about any of this, please advise.

1. Intermittent wipers - only one delay period. C'mon man! Adjustable delay is pretty common in all vehicles now and probably would have added 2 or 3 dollars to the cost of the car.

2. The center console is uncomfortable against my right leg. I had to add a padded cushion to the hard plastic.

3. The owner's manual is just plain horrible. So many features / instructions that are not included, yet they devote pages and pages to how to start a car and drive it!

4. Only one USB port. Again, 2 or 3 dollars!

Yeah, I know, I should have bought an EX, Touring, etc. But I did not want the turbo and all the auto driving crap (after driving for 45 years now, I kinda got the hang of it!).

Anyway, just venting about these minor nits and again, I am overall very happy with my new car. I look forward to participating in this forum and thank all of you for your posts - I have been reading for several months to get as much information as possible prior to purchase.

1) No folding key fob
2) No Automatic headlights

I just bought a silver LX too

Didn't want a turbo ... wasn't aware of OD problems

I'm overall very pleased with the LX.

Nice tint! What percentage is that?

Yea, looked at the LX and went with the EX. Wipers have 4-5 intermittent settings, I find the console to be pretty comfortable and soft, many USB ports, and as a previous denier that I'd not use any of the "auto driving crap," I find these extras quite convenient!

Yeah the drivings assists are a huge help and prevent fatigue. i wouldn't have bought a CRV without it.

Love my LX. Drove the higher end crv and didn't like the steering wheel shake when near the fog line. Also When the car in front of me made an abrupt turn at an intersection mine tryed to accelerate back to cruising speed, right thru the same intersection. I got over that " Luxury" pretty quick. I tow a small boat and wanted the larger displacement.

They call it the "base model" for a reason. :)

They also disclose every feature and function on each trim level so the potential owner can be best informed as to what trim level has what features they want/need.

As always with Honda (and most other brands these days) they follow a modified Henry Ford approach to manufacturing ---> you can have it any way you like as long as it is one of the trim levels they actually produce.

Technology is definitely not for everyone, and is not needed by everyone either.

Nit picking Nah I agree love to have more for less and less may not be best. maybe get the EX-L seat for yourself the power seat, find a shop to add a variable speed controller, and an photocell for the headlamps. My next car won;t be top dollar as top dollar simply has many free Quirks added that are troublesome.

My Accord LX has both has variable intermittent wipers and auto headlights. Found it strange that my CRV LX dosen't have these features. My LX is a year old today, no problems and enjoy the ride. I always buy base models and keep my vehicles for 10 to 12 years.

BTW, I think the performance of the 2.4l is just fine.

But then again, I drive like your grandmother.
LOL, my grandmother doesn't drive, actually, she never did! And sadly, shes been buried for a lot of years!

I know it is a figure of speech. Your comment just made me think of her....

Well... in fairness the newest generation Accord is newer then the newest generation CRV and generally Honda has been adding more features to the base trim levels as they advance to newer generation releases. In addition, with the 2019 model year.. ALL Accord trim levels now come with Honda Sensing too which makes the LX overall better then it's competition in this regard. In fact Honda has committed to have advanced safety systems standard on every Honda they manufacture by 2022.

I should have been more specific, my Accord is a 2015.
