New member here. Thank you to all that posted your pricing! Helped us out.

Purchased 2019 CRV LX AWD (built 11/19 in Canada) from Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville (after receiving quotes from 5 different dealers throughout Florida).

Adjusted price: $22,383 (includes $500 military rebate and unfortunately, we didn't qualify for the Honda Loyalty Offer of $1,000 that expires 5/4/2020)
OTD price: $25,321

Other Florida quotes I received were for FWD only. All for 2019 CRV LX FWD with Canadian VINs:
  • Duval Honda, Jacksonville: $22,942 with OTD price: $25,753
  • Honda of Lake City: $22,089 with OTD price: $25,043
  • Honda of Ft. Pierce: CPO with only 245 miles for $21,300 with OTD price: $23,653
  • Jenkins Honda of Leesburg: Verbal quote that matched our AWD we ended up purchasing.
* Note: Warranty on CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) is better than a new warranty. I probably would've purchased this one if they were not 3 hours away. Built 11/19 as well.

Current Honda Loyalty Offer: If you currently own a 2009 or newer Honda that's an additional $1,000 in savings (expires 5/4/2020). Did not qualify since our current Honda is a 2ndGen 2004 Honda CRV EX AWD (only 93k miles) and recently gave our oldest daughter our 2013.

What's the sales tax rate in FL? Looks like at 7% sales tax, you would be just under $24K. Where'd the other ~$1350 go?

In any case, you got a great deal. I bought the exact same vehicle (built in Canada 10/2019) in November for $24,800 plus tax and approximately $220 in dealer and DMV fees in New York. I added a bunch of dealer installed accessories and had a trade, so my numbers got a bit complicated, but the vehicle itself was $24,800.

What colors did you get?

I thought it was 7% as well. However, it appears to be only 6% for our county. Sales tax was $1,430.55 and there was a county fee of $25.

All the other fees: Delivery service charge $898 (should I have added this into the purchase price?), doc stamp $70, transfer plates/title/tages $112.85, lemon law fee for new cars $2, lead-acid battery $1.50, new tire fee $5, and third party tag agency fee $55. Those added up to $1,144.35.

So actual OTD was $24,982.85. My original OTD quote of $25,321 was adjusted. We had a license plate we could transfer.

Regarding Financing: We normally buy older used cars with cash but decided to spoil ourselves and buy New or CPO this time. What I cannot believe is how cheap it is to finance vehicles right now. We got 0.9% for 60 months, put $5000 down, and will only pay $468.15 in total interest. That blows my mind.

We ended up with Lunar Silver. Silver and white were our choices since we live in Florida. The CRV also included tailgate spoiler, chrome wheel locks, splash guard set, plastic all season floor mats, and the plastic cargo tray. And it appears the windows have been tinted. I was expecting no tint on an LX trim.

More info that may be helpful to others: We did everything from the comfort of our own home (except the test drive & looking over the car in the lot). Told them we were getting quotes from other dealers around Florida and we were ready to buy now. Once we received written quotes, I wanted to haggle down their prices some more...but my wife wanted to buy sooner than later. Another one we were going to buy had just sold. If you are not in a hurry, you probably can get an even better deal if you are willing to haggle and wait it out. Especially as this virus thing drags on. We did not want any extended warranties or maintenance plans. They tried to sell us MasterTech and I see MasterTech stickers throughout the CRV...under the hood, inside of the hatch door, etc. Some think there is a MasterTech GPS tracking device installed in it as well. I haven't confirmed if this is true yet. And finally, they delivered the car to us and we signed the paperwork outside in our garage. Way better experience than playing games at the dealership.

A GPS tracker would definitely bother me. License plate readers are bad enough, but at least I don't carry them around with me in my own vehicle.

Silver is a nice color. I like black for the LX because of the black mirrors, door handles, and rear spoiler, but I don't live in Florida heat.

Enjoy your new car.

Yeah, when you factor in that it's FWD, which is a $1400 option, that would be equivalent to $24,600 for a 2019 LX AWD. That's basically the same price I paid for a 2019 LX AWD over five months ago, when the year was still 2019 and the 2020 models weren't yet on dealer lots. I agree you can do better, especially if you're flexible on colors.

I'm also in Atlanta. Can you tell me which dealership you got this quote for? I'm in the market for a new 2019 CR-V EX. I got a quote for $23,589 (w/ non-optional accessories of cargo tray, mudguards, wheel locks) plus 6.6% sales tax which is $1557 and $18 title fee, $20 tag fee, and $3 lemon law fee. It is $25,187 out the door for the new 2019 CR-V EX. I don't qualify for the military or first responder discount but I do qualify for the $1000 Honda Loyalty offer which is already included in the $23,589 above.

It is a great deal, particularly if the non-optional dealer-installed accessories are things you find of at least some value. Finding all sorts of combinations of unneeded extras in my search currently.

Due to the latest price increase last week, the CR-V hybrid is now a little over 55k euros or $60k. And that's -due to tax breaks- the cheap one. the 1.5 V-Tec in Executive trim hits 62k euros /nearly $ 68k... That's including 21% VAT. A lot of money. Yes. But try to buy a similar equipped Audi Q... here; that will set you back another 20k!

The hybrid being the cleaner car has benefited from tax breaks. Currently the most-sold CR-V in this country (less than 25 cars/month).

Ouch....makes me feel slightly bad arguing about $395 mud guards and wheel locks...

Purchased on 5/24/2020 from Carey Paul Honda in Snellville, Georgia (45 min drive away)
2019 CR-V EX FWD in Silver/Gray
Dealer Installed Options: mudflaps, cargo tray, wheel locks, and "nitrogen tires" (LOL)

  • Price before tax, tag, title, and lemon law fee: $23,415.94
  • 6.6% GA TAVT $1,538.06
  • Tag, title, and lemon law fee per GA DMV website: $25 + 18 + $3 = $41
  • Out the Door Price = $24,995.00
  • Zero down payment
  • 0.90% financing thru Honda Financial Services (HFS)
  • Payments starting in 90 days (mid-August). $33 of interest accrues until then which changes the total payments made from $25,576 to $25,609. I think of it as paying $33 to "hold" the car and "buying" the car in mid-August.
  • I have a 2016 Honda Accord so I was eligible for the $1000 loyalty offer.
  • I used the out the door price of $25,187 from another dealership (post #532 above) and asked if this dealership can beat it.

Looking at buying a 2019 Ex-L AWD in dark olive with black interior. It’s certified+ pre owned but was just the loaner at the dealership. 6k miles.

Current best offer from the dealership is $27,425. ($29,400 OTD with 6% tax). Regionally (N. Michigan) this is the best I could find for this trim/style but want to know if others think this is a good or fair deal.

(side note, this site has been super helpful while researching this purchase. Thanks everyone!)

I was told by 2 dealers that loaner cars are still considered new because they have not been registered before. The dealer selling said you get the full warranty 3/36k miles and 5/60k miles power train from the day of purchase meaning if it had 5k miles, the warranties are good until 41K and 65K. The other dealer said it stops at 36 and 60K but you still get the full 3 years (expires when whichever comes first).

I wouldn’t buy it as CPO unless the warranty is the same (or better) and the price is cheaper than a “new car”.

Yeah, CPO Certified+ extends the standard 3/36k to 5/50k and the powertrain to 7/100k. From what I can tell it's more limited than the full new car warranty but still better than nothing after 36k like a standard used car. We're buying remotely due to an upcoming move so wanted the least risky option short of a new car and this seems to fit the bill given our situation.

Price compared to other new 2019s in the area is ~3k less out the door.
