Hey all,

I have a 1st gen (1998) CR-V with 212k miles on it that has been my daily driver for the last 3 years through grad school that I am hoping to keep for the next 4 years through med school. Anyway, I've kept up with oil and brakes, and just flushed the brake fluid and coolant, but I want to make sure it's going to last as long as possible. I got the car with 150k on it, and was told it had just had the timing belt replaced. I have replaced the ignition switch to solve intermittent loss of power, but what else do I need to watch out for?

I haven't had the transmission fluid touched the entire 70k I've had it for, should I drain and fill it 3x as I've seen discussed?

Thanks Y'all!

I bought an 03 with 226,000 miles and no service records. Changing the ATF was the first thing I did. And yes, it was done "the Honda way" with Honda fluid. Pretty easy to do, just time consuming.
