I'm thinking it might be time for a newer CR-V. I'm looking at two now: a 2010 with 98,000 miles on it, and a 2013 with 75,000 miles on it (only $1000 more than the 2010). Both are one owner, clean Carfax. If you were choosing, which would you choose, and why?

To me, a big consideration is that the 2010 won't have the CVT. Everything I've read about the CVT makes me think that has the potential to be a problem that I might not want to deal with (not until I simply can't buy a car without it).

I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts. Thanks!

Neither vehicle has a CVT, so if you’re worried, you shouldn’t be.

The Honda CVT hasn’t had any real problems, it’s been a solid choice. 2015 is when CRVs went to a CVT. Other models had it before this, so it’s not new.
