Greetings. We love our 2020 CR-V Hybrid and have put it to the test with a cross country drive as well as shorter trips hops around town. While we only average 33 MPH it is still a lot better than the non-hybrid versions. The ride is confortable and the steering responsive. The "entertainment unit" and the Apple CarPlay is extremely buggy - as others have already reported.

Two questions for the community:

First question: On the highway the Honda Sensing Adaptive Cruise Control often brakes as we are passing a car on the left. Our dealer insists that there is no way to calibrate or align the sensing area. Does anyone have experience with this?

Second question: The factory original tires were horrible in the snow. We will be getting new tires soon and wanted to know if any other "Northerners" have suggestions of good "all season" tires. We drive less and less in the snow and would like to avoid the bother and expense of snow tires.

Thanks!

can't help you with the sensing issue....as i don't have those new fancy gizmo's.

if you don't want to mess with dedicated winter tires....the Michelin CrossClimate II tires have had favorable reviews both here and on various retail websites. Other manufacturer's are coming to the market with similar tires, but the CC's were first and most widely used.

Depends on your ACC settings - if you have the proximity setting at the furthest distance to the car in front of you, the braking will occur.

Refer to your manual which depicts the variables for the Sensing suite. YouTube too is awash with videos.

Please search here for tyres - many threads on this and continue there for any tyre-related discussion (start a new thread if need be).

For our 2020 hybrid, we got 17" wheels and Michelin X-Ice tires, have not had any problems with these for the last two seasons, mileage will go down some with these tires and the cold weather.

I'm not saying your radar is not properly calibrated but whoever you talked to at your dealer doesn't know his *** from a hole in the ground. Of course the radar can be calibrated/aligned, in fact it has to be if the car was in an accident or the radar is replaced. It's a matter of placing a radar target in front of the vehicle and adjusting two screws for the elevation and horizontal centering. Here is a video of the procedure being done on a CRV.
