About 3 months after the oil dilution fix and oil level alert came on and the engine died on the highway causing an accident. This will be my last honda I ever own.

A lot wrong with the post but biggest point, if the engine shutting off caused you to have an accident YOU SHOULDNT BE DRIVING A CAR EVER.

You blame honda for how you Operate and maintain a vehicle. Right.

Keep the thread updated about your malfunction

That's a little extreme. Just because someone is involved in a NO FAULT accident, it doesn't mean we should automatically take away their driving privileges, especially without knowing all of the facts. If you were to get rear ended by someone, does that also mean that YOU SHOULDNT BE DRIVING A CAR EVER also?

By the way, what is an "oil level alert"? I didn't know these cars had this. Was it really a "low oil pressure" warning instead? Either way, wouldn't this alert indicate low oil, instead of too much?

Please do give use some more details ulieq.

What the hell? "Young generation"? If an almost brand new vehicle runs out of oil and seizes up, I fail to see how that is the "young generation's" fault.

Unless the operator is the one who changed the oil and forgot to put oil back in.

I'm guessing that would might been whoever preformed "the fix" though.

Should we really be taking away someone's license due to a mistake that someone else might have made?

Engine dying on a fast highway can lead to death. Please no stupid comments by forum fantasy nascar drivers. If my daughter was in the car, she could have been dead now.

That being said, I will update in a few days when I know exactly what blew in the engine. I HIGHLY suspect the oil dilution fix being the issue as that is the only change my car has had and it has not even been 1 oil change cycle yet since that recall was done. In fact, I scheduled a oil change this week before it happened.

Did you have a chance to get an oil level reading after the incident?

I read thru a lot of your old posts. For as many problems as you have had I am surprised you still own it.

Oil level means it’s low on oil or lack of oil pressure. Unless you just had the oil changed and the drain plug was loose I can see that. Unless the oil pump crapped out. Either way glad no one was hurt. Please keep us updated.

***Looks at OP's post history***

Troll confirmed.

Mods, you know what to do.
Just for SaG's I checked his old posts and here's my view...

He started posting negative things about his CR-V 7 posts ago. Because of this, he is now labeled a "Troll". What is wrong with some of you? Not everyone is ecstatic about their CR-V ownership. And Mango, you should talk. You have quite the rep on the Mazda forum.

OP, don't let these "people" bully you. Please share more info about your incident when you have the time.

Doesn't matter whether he is a troll or not, there is an existing OD thread where he can post his issue. We don't need ANOTHER OD thread clogging up the main page. Simple as that.

And you may want to re-read his post history. 7 posts ago? More like 2 years worth of posts.
