I see the usual ex-hall monitors coming out to shout ‘troll’. Maybe give the guy the opportunity to show his story is true. Maybe he is, but maybe not.
No kidding! If someone new to this forum reads some of the responses they will probably think twice about ever posting anything. Lets try to give the guy an opportunity to fill in his story before drawing your own conclusions.

So the vehicle was a total loss. My insurance will cover everything less the engine. Progressive said since it was an engine defect that caused the accident that is not covered and I will need reimbursement from Honda. At this point 1. Service center refuses discussion. 2. Honda America refuses discussion.

I highly recommend that nobody purchase these vehicles as Honda is refusing warranty service and dealerships will not help. Your only course, like mine, will be through actual litigation.

Wow that is pathetic. Did you find out more about what caused the engine failure? It would be great to get more information on what led to this.

So the insurance company says the vehicle is a total right off and will pay to replace the vehicle minus the engine because the engine was defective and caused the accident :confused2:

Ok, maybe I was wrong. You do sound like a troll. Where is your evidence of an engine defect? They would need to tear it down to determine that, which obviously did not happen.

I apologize to those I challenged earlier.

Ah huh...:Hmmmmm::rolleyes2:

And what about the "other guy" ??? Presumably you got rear ended. Normally the fault lies on the following vehicle for failure to stop, causing an accident. I would imagine that the insurance company would assign blame to that driver not you.

Guess Honda will send the cash for the defective engine and the Insurance the salvage of the car in cash and you walk away even.

Apparently the accident was Takahiro Hachigo's fault, so why would either insurance company pay anything? Something does smell a little fishy here, and this time it's actually not Fishy. (No offense Fishy, that was just my sorry attempt at trying to make a joke).

Whatever.

I'm skeptical_ of the post and the crap replies. If your state has NO FAULT insurance, the insurance companies handle your losses - they sue everyone else for reimbursement. As for the OP, stop posting, get an attorney and enjoy the benefits of "it's big corporations fault" juries. And while your at it SUE everyone - Honda, the dealer, the other driver, the other drivers insurance company, and your own insurance company.

If what you say is true, NTHSB will get involved and a lot of us will enjoy the benefits of your sad experience.

If this is true, well this is not the place to say anything about what, how, where, or when. Those conversations will come back to bite you in the butt in a court proceeding. A Honda corporate supported website is not the place to go to complain if you have a real case.

If this is not true, please go away! NO BODY LIKES A TROLL!

Why?

There are too many threads that get shutdown. If you don't like what is said in this thread, ignore it. The only thing that is keeping this thread near the top are the posts by people who want everything non "Honda Positive" shutdown.
Because with a searchable forum both on the forum and via Google, a troll post not only clogs up the forum, it makes it's way into searches of average users.

If the OP wants to come back in here and provide proof instead of what appears to be a made up story, then by all means reopen it.

If what the OP said is true, it would be easy to prove.

If what the OP said is not true then it's a violation of the forum rules and their IP should be logged and the account terminated.
