I would have to imagine that the OP would have, or could get a photo of the vehicle and maybe a copy of the repair estimate or some other documentation...
Who cares, I can show you some great UFO photos and government documents. It does not mean that any of it is real!
Lets not forget all the Fake Honda documentation that was thrown out and then deleted when challenged in the early days of the OD issue. It's pretty easy to get a Honda service order or other documents and just scan it into a PC and redo the details to say whatever you want.

You only need to use your brain to see this is fake. Once again on most forums this thread would have been deleted and the OP banned but oh well I guess this will clog up the system for weeks as the OP will probably come back with something Photoshop'ed.

Anybody that believes this crap must also think the Easter bunny is real.

Is quite entertaining to see all the people that actually think it really happened. the person probably is sitting back laughing like crazy while he's at work selling a different brand of SUV'S

After the OP's followup post, I don't think there's anyone left to laugh at except himself.

Back in the early days of this Gen 5 forum the OP was constantly posting his unhappiness with his CRV. So much so that I added him to my ignore list but then he sort of went away.
And when he went away, I removed him from my ignore list. Over the last year and a half of my having an extreme interest in anything related to the problem that some of us have, I don’t remember any posts by him on the problem. Even in this thread he doesn’t seem to be saying the problem caused his supposed problem.

And if you think that closing a thread means less hits on Google,
Try Googling the two most recently shutdown threads with more than one post;
“oil dilution fix dosent work” or “Honda Canada Follow-Up Letter about Oil Dilution”
and tell me that closing them eliminates having them show up on a Google search.

Seems like this thread turned south with the second post.
So the vehicle was a total loss. My insurance will cover everything less the engine. Progressive said since it was an engine defect that caused the accident that is not covered and I will need reimbursement from Honda. At this point 1. Service center refuses discussion. 2. Honda America refuses discussion.

I highly recommend that nobody purchase these vehicles as Honda is refusing warranty service and dealerships will not help. Your only course, like mine, will be through actual litigation.
I said earlier maybe you’re a troll- maybe not. After that crock insurance story, it would appear- you are.

The CRV driver is in heavy traffic traveling down the highway at 70 mph when suddenly the engine quits causing unexpected slowing resulting the CRV being rear-ended. And the driver should never ever be allowed to drive a car. Something wrong with your thinking.

Most would agree with that statement. We're now past that fantasy and have now moved onto the next one. Try and keep up! :)

Mods, time to put this out of its misery.

In the last 27 months, Ulieg, you've posted 180 times - every post complaining about something different on your CRV. Is there anything at all you found to like about it? If not, you should be delighted that it died on the freeway. Getting my popcorn ready too.

Myself and many drivers I have known have had engine break downs on the Highway and we all managed to get to the soft shoulder without an issue. I don't know if your flaying up your hands in a panic when this happens but for me it just means flick on the indicator look for an opening and start going over to the side. From 60+ miles an hour you got plenty of time.

If engine shut downs meant automatic accidents we would have hundreds of them each day in every state.
I'm a pretty cautious driver so when I found myself late at night in a light drizzle on unfamiliar highways I tended to keep my distance and drive below the stated speed limit ... but when two highways merged I found myself inside a pack of cars. on that dark and rainy night on a curve a black dog darted out just being missed by the car to my left and froze in front of me the only time I had was to grip the steering wheel and "BAM" the only saving grace was my airbags didn't deploy- if I had at that moment lost all power I doubt I would have been able without power steering to miss the car to my left on that curve.
Basically I'd like more details from the OP before I call it nonsense tho given the OP's history I'm not sure he will return.

The OP had Adaptive cruise control on, with the lane assist , and when the Engine died, how it died, all that Smoke coming out the bay not able to see where he was going, and relied on the sensors to bring him to a complete stop. All the Oil that he thought was rain....

Wait His Daughter will sign up and defend for him soon.

Why?

There are too many threads that get shutdown. If you don't like what is said in this thread, ignore it. The only thing that is keeping this thread near the top are the posts by people who want everything non "Honda Positive" shutdown.
I have to agree. I want to read about certain things and every thread is locked. If I want to ask a question I almost have to start a new thread. This thread would only be 2 pages if there weren't so many soft skinned babies saying "Delete". Didn't you ever hear the saying "if you don't have something nice to say......"

If you don't like what the guy is saying ignore. If you don't like what I'm saying ignore. I'd like to find out what was going on here. Stop yelling for the moderator.
I have never seen a forum with so many cry babies and locked threads. You should go over to a motorcycle forum and get toughened up before coming in here again.
I wonder how many people here have huge post counts that over 50% are "delete this" postings
