Please do yourself (or your family) a favor and DO NOT disable the airbags. Last month a driver crossed the double yellow lines and hit my daughter driving our 2018 CRV EX head on, each car going 40mph. Airbags deployed, and my daughter walked away with very minor scratches / abrasions from the seatbelt. I suspect the airbags saved her major trauma or worse.

CRV was totaled; today we picked up a 2019 CRV EX-L to replace it.
