AM Audio Fidelity

For a 2012 radio (Navigation version), is there a way to adjust the AM audio clarity separate from the FM? Coming from my old 2001 with a stock radio; the am audio was quite clear. The 2012 is quite muffled - no highs and few lows. The FM audio is great and I don't want to change it.
