I don't know why.

My Android phone auto play music in my 2012 CR-V. As soon as I turn on my bluetooth on my phone, the music stay playing.

What I do is freeze the Google Music app and it is not playing anymore.

How do you get this to stop naturally?

I am thinking this is a Honda bug!

Mine did that in my last ford. Like the ford if you select something else before you turn the car off and close your app everything should be fine.

Check out an app called Media Button Router. I've been using this app for about a year now, it works well for me.

To set it up, place checkmarks in:

Enable.
Confirm Selection.
Disable Text to Speech.
Uncheck the apps you DON'T want shown in the selector.
Reboot phone.
Start vehicle and test.

It is because you select BlueTooth in the Audio menu. If you select other music source such as USB or radio, the car will not start your phone's music player. The CRV's BlueTooth is always on to sync with your phone when available, you do not have to "turn on" BlueTooth from the Audio menu.
