I have a 2004 crv and was driving and the a/c just stopped. I have removed the front bumper to get to the compressor and found it not to be locked up. But the problem is the compressor isn't trying to cycle at all. I know it's not low freon or would be short cycling.

Has anyone had this problem before? I have read the compressors go out a lot on these but do the clutches ever go out? I know I had a problem with an accord I had and it ended up being the a/c control board in the cab.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You never know, it could be as simple as a blown fuse or bad relay. Check for power at the clutch connection and go from there. You can also remove the wire and provide 12V to the clutch and see if it pulls in.
