I have a 2015 CRV EX, and want to install an aftermarket Sirius XM radio (Onyx Plus). I got the radio to work in the car using an FM transmission to the car radio, so everything works, the problem is that I cannot figure out how to mount the antenna. The manual for the radio talks about "tucking the cable under the weather stripping", but as far as I can tell, the weather stripping on the tailgate is glued down, so I don't see a way to hold the cable in place in the tailgate opening.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket satellite radio that has an antenna cable? If so, how did you do it?

Thanks,
--Greg

Hi, I have the same vehicle. I think they suggested I use the roof just above the windshield and peel back the door gasket to get it there. (really?)
I purchased and installed an XM tuner "kit" for the factory radio. They gave me a magnetic antenna to stick on the roof. (my concern was, "one car wash and it's gone"). So I stuck in on the dash inside down by the front window and routed the wired thru the AC vent. (It works pretty good). further Research showed the EX-L has an XM/Radio combination antenna. It was pricey but was the best solution I could find. I installed it last night, fits perfectly (buy the nut & stick, as they are different) ... now I have to run an XM cable to the dash, to get to the tuner. I am currently thinking that running it down to the floor and under the sills is probably the safest way to avoid setting off AirBags. When I get it done, I'll post again. I hope you figured it out. (PS-the connectors on the CRV-EX-L satellite cable are not standard XM, and may require adapting to get it to work.)
