Maybe it's just me, but I really miss the horn beep when the doors are locked. My 2015 CR-V had the chirp issue which, I believe, emanated from under the rear bumper which for the most part was unheard if more than a few feet from the tailgate. Perhaps I am getting too old to hear this frequency. I was hoping that this would change with my new 2019. No such luck. It's still the same old chirp. Luckily I have set the walk away lock function, but I've found that this doesn't always work, especially if you are unloading groceries or other items from the trunk and keep it open for a while. I would like to find some way to increase the volume or have the horn beep when I lock the doors. Any suggestions?

Your neighbours will thank you that it's a chirp and not a horn beep.
Adjusting the chirp volume has come up in other threads and I've yet to see anyone discover a way to do it.

Keep in mind that the exterior lights flash once to give visual confirmation that the doors have locked. After closing the hatch, these lights will flash once to confirm the door and hatch are locked. If there's no flash, there's a button on the hatch door (to the right of the larger "open" button above the license plate) that you can press to lock all doors and hatch. The lights will flash once as confirmation. Or you can use the lock button on the fob.

I will echo what marty1 has shared here. Horns often trigger alerts with neighbors... and that is something to avoid in my view.

By the way .. the same chirping alarm is also used to remind you if you left your engine running and have exited the car and closed the driver side door. It will give out a long string of chirps for several seconds..and it is quite loud and noticable.
