It seems our 2017 Touring's door ground clearance is lower than the 2008 we had. Curbs that previously were never an issue will now hit the door if opened. My wife also got the passenger door stuck in some grass when opened and I had to lift it to clear - never had this happen before.

Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone have access to an earlier year CR-V to measure if this is true?

Per the Honda site, the ground clearance on the 2008 was 7.3" (all models) while the 2017 is 7.8" (FWD) & 8.2" (AWD).

Hmmm, maybe chassis/drive train specs but not what I'm experiencing for door bottom clearance...

Perhaps you've put on a few pounds in the intervening years??
True, since I retired I'm up a few to 155
