Whats up NYC!

Just got into a used 2011 CRV EX, which I'm very excited about. I wanted to put on a bull guard and a tail guard. I've been trying to shop around to see the cheapest way to do it.

My mechanic in Brooklyn said he'd do it for $150 ($75 for each), but I'd have to get my own guards. Anyone have a place that they can recommend that may do it cheaper or have a body shop where I can buy the guards and get a good deal including installation?

Thanks for your help!

Just make sure the bars you pick, tuck up as high as the nice steep climbing angles the CRV has. They really can get in the way of simple things like climbing a curb.

$75 each in NYC has to be a pretty good price for anyone running an actual reputable business. I remember reading in the NY Times about a specific section of town where small shops and "day mechanics" (for lack of a better term) do repairs right on the side of the street for relative bargain prices. I think it might have been the Iron Triangle in Flushing, Queens?
