Hey I was looking through the manual and Honda Suggests that you can drive the car like a manual by shifting through 12 and then D. My fear is this is going to cause damage to the Autobox is there anything to backup my fear?

my personal fear is that I drive my '98 like a stick by feeling for the shift points in the tranny. try it cuz it's good fun - accelerate to 7000RPM and then it'll drop to 2nd, where I feel it catch at 4000 RPM and so on...

but is that dangerous?
