Hi Guys,

What's the way to connect your honda infotainment system to the internet, so you can use the APPS (browser etc) and also please let me know how to install APKs, where should I look for to get legit APKs that wont mess up my system?

You can connect your car to your house's WiFi, or your phone if you enable tethering. I don't think there are any optional apps available at this time for our cars.

What the hell is an APK?
Android file name for an application installer. Currently, you cannot install any apps onto the infotainment system unless they have a file signature provided by Honda.

Someone will need to "root" it first. Since it's running an old version of android I wouldn't think it would be too hard.

Also I hear our HU is the same/similar to the one in the Civic so maybe someone with a Civic has already figured it out.

Poke around the XDA Developers forums.. There are several threads covering rooting and installing 3rd party apps on Honda systems.
