Hello
i just filled up the gas, rest trip meter. Drove 1km to a parking lot. i noticed that the average was increasing while idle. any idea what wrong?
i made a video sry cannot put link i am a newbie, wont allow

It makes sense because you're not travelling but still consuming gas. Say if the crv is sitting there and eats up a litre of gas then instead of 8 litres / 100 km , it just became 9.

Personally, I've never seen this but my gauge is averaging over 2 years.

How long was it idling for?

Instant mpg while not moving should always be 0 MPG if the engine is running.
So, fuel usage per mile will increase since you are not moving.

Got it now. :(
It shows your avg mpg actually increasing while you are not moving.
I have no answer. How accurate does it seem overall if you compare it to the normal way of dividing gallons into miles to get mpg?
