Usually its in the winter that belts on my cars start doing this, but this time its in the summer. I have a 2006 Honda CR-V and it does it from the time i start the engine until I shut it off. The belt is about a year old, so I dont believe it is the issue. Can the belt tensioner be adjusted? If not, what should I try?

It does not improve if I turn off the a/c. It does not get worse when I turn. Help!

The easiest thing to try would be a spray can of belt conditioner. Tensioners are not adjustable to my knowledge - the concept is they continue to "adjust" as the best stretches. Craig

I would replace the tensioner and belt.

(The tensioners are spring-loaded, and can become weak. Also, the bearing in the tensioner can seize. Once the belt slips, it becomes glazed...so replace it even if it is relatively new.)
