I need to replace my tires and found the perfect ones; due to global supply chain issues I am still waiting (3+ moths) for them to be available. Now I am trying to see what else might work. I live in Arizona where it is blazing hot for about 6 months of the year and then there is also monsoon season where it rains cats and dogs. Am looking for tires that will handle both. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I use a 225/65/17 tire.
I'd look and see what others are using in your area, or stop by your local Discount Tire (a Site Sponsor), they usually have good advice and will know your local climate.
I'm using Michelin Defenders, but my concern is cold, not heat.
Proper pressures are even more important in hot weather. Even a few pounds under will cause more heating.
Phoenix driver here. The only way to buy tires in AZ is with the assistance of a high mileage warranty. Discount Tire has a nice filter I use for better / best tires + warranty.
Currently I'm using "CON CONTROL CONTACT TOUR A/S PLUS" (225 /65 R17). These tires have been GREAT!
