Just bought a used 2011 without rails and want to add a multipurpose rack for carrying extra gear. I've had Thule racks in the past but reviews say they are noisy over 30mph. Are Yakima racks any better? What about the full rail OEM compatible kits? Do the cross bars that com with those accommodate specialized add-on parts like kayak carriers? Any recommendations on ho to order from? I like free shipping :)

I believe the 2011 does not need rails, the factory rack mount is built into the roof.

My Thule roof box went directly onto the OEM rack on my 2008 (same generation as 2011). My Thule roof bike rack came with bars that attach to the OEM rack, then the bike rack attaches to the extra bars. Don't have any experience with other racks or rack accessories.

If noise is an issue, you might want to look at OEM, Thule Aeroblade, or other aerodynamic styles.

Also some of these might be helpful
